Description:Sterile recombinant imipenem hydrolase expressed in E.coli is used in the test of sterility and microbial limit of β-lactam antibiotics, especially imipenem.
 

Introduction
        INDUMY® Imipenem Hydrolase is a kind of recombinant carbapenemase expressed in E.col and purfied to high homogeneity with high activity. It hydrolyse the β-lactam ring of imipenem antibiotics and inactivate the antibiotics. This enzyme can inactivate β-lactam antibiotics such as ceftriaxon, cefazolin, ceftazidime, cefoxitin, cefepime, cefuroxime, cefotaxime,  oxacillin, imipenem, and meropenem.
Appearance
        Clear and colorless liquid.

Package

       5 IU/vial.

Unit definition:
        One unit of imipenem hydrolase activity is defined as the amount of preparation which hydrolyse 1μmol imipenem in one minute at 25℃ and pH7.0. That is equivalent to 0.3mg imipenem.

The test of sterility

        It is negtive of the sterility test.

Usage

       The test of sterility and microbial limit of β-lactam antibiotics, especially imipenem.

Store

        Stable at -20℃ for more than one year.
